Outtakes from the Oregon Freeze Dry Factory, shot for Outside last year. These guys work their shifts inside a -20 degree freezer, which is where I photographed them (wearing nothing but a t-shirt and lab coat).

Last month I shot Nicolas Marsch (left) for Bloomberg Businessweek, for a story about a real estate deal gone bad and the epic legal battle that followed. You can read the story here.

Out in this month’s Wired is a big feature I shot last summer on the resurgence of Downtown Las Vegas. The project is being led by Tony Hsieh, the CEO of Zappos, and it’s rapidly transforming the derelict area east of Fremont Street into a fun, hip capital of innovation. It was super fun hanging out with all of these guys for a couple of days and the project is so inspiring. Check out the full story here.

Outtake of Peter Berg shot for the New York Times Magazine last year. In honor of Lone Survivor’s imminent release, of course.

The FORBS Santa Reunion and Luncheon in 2011

Last January I went to the murky backwoods of Alabama to photograph a deer drive for Field & Stream. It was a great story, steeped in history and a tradition that has almost disappeared. The story finally ran in the December issue this year, in time for this year’s deer season.

More new work, this time for Monocle on The Surfer’s Journal. It was strange to shoot an assignment for a magazine on another magazine, and I was fascinated by the inner workings. A big thanks to the team at The Surfer’s Journal, who couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating.

Recent work for TIME on the Affordable Care Act.

This is some of the best advertising I’ve ever seen.

wornwear:

Worn Wear – a Film About the Stories We Wear
Presented by Patagonia
Directed by Keith, Lauren, Chris, and Dan Malloy

Worn Wear is an exploration of quality – in the things we own and the lives we live. This short film takes you to an off-the-grid surf camp in Baja, Mexico; a family’s maple syrup harvest in Contoocook, New Hampshire; an organic farm in Ojai, California; and into the lives of a champion skier, a National Geographic photographer, and a legendary alpinist. It also features exclusive interviews with Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard.

Released as an antidote to the Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping frenzy, Worn Wear is an invitation to celebrate the stuff you already own.
